Rob Robinson is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist and drummer based out of North East, Maryland. He has performed a variety of musical styles over the years including rock, pop, country, folk and blues. Rob’s musical roots stemmed from his involvement with Drum Corps from the age of nine. By age 21, he was a three-time National Snare Drumming Champion.

Rob’s continued passion for drumming eventually led him to go on to tour and record with roots-based artist Ben Vaughn, an experience that would have a profound influence on Rob’s musical development. During extensive touring with Vaughn’s band throughout US and Europe, Rob was introduced to a variety of new music and artists including the likes of John Hiatt and Alex Chilton. These influences shaped the direction of Rob’s music and ideas and eventually led to a growing passion for songwriting.

While continuing to drum for Philadelphia artists such as Suzanne Gorman and Amy Carr, Rob kept working on his writing skills. In 2009 he began work on his first solo CD, and in the fall of 2013 “Catchin’ A Ride” was released. In 2014 he signed on with his old friend Lou DeMarco and Momentary Love Management. Since then Rob has taken his music on the road to many US cities including New York, Philadelphia, Norfolk, Kansas City, Nashville and Memphis. He has been a featured guest on NPR’s Acoustic Highway.

We are very proud to welcome Rob back to our Apple Festival stage for 2017! Be sure to stop by and meet him after his set, and pick up a copy of his CD! Check out his web site to see his performance schedule.
